1 NEP Orientation and Sensitization Programme(s) - 2025-26

NEP 2020 emphasizes the creation of motivated, energized, and capable faculty. The Capacity building of teachers at all levels has been one of the major thrust areas in the field of higher education. Existing mechanisms for capacity building of faculty, i.e. UGC-HRDCs and PMMMNMTT centers have contributed immensely towards training faculty of Higher Education Institutions to provide more effective teaching. However, continuous Professional development of faculty in all disciplines is required in light of new and updated methods of pedagogy. Thus, Malaviya Mission is proposed by restructuring/reframing of the existing Scheme/Mechanism of the Capacity Building/Training of Teacher/Faculty in D/o Higher Education. The Mission envisages Capacity-building training for the faculty and staff across higher educational institutions, in the light of NEP 2020 within two years through multiple training centers. The outcome of this capacity- building training will be the metamorphosis of higher education in terms of Indian values, teaching, research, publication, patents, and institutional development

 Registration: Participants should register on the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Portal https://mmc.ugc.ac.in/ and select Ranchi University. The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme shall be taken into consideration for the fulfillment of the requirements as laid down in the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) of UGC.

Fee : There is no registration fee.

Eligibility: Undergraduate and Post Graduate faculty members from Central Universities, State Universities, Affiliated Colleges, Constituent Colleges, Private Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges and all Higher Education Institutions are eligible. Class timing on Google Meet will be in the afternoon during off working hours. Duly forwarded applications are accepted and no duty leave is required to be obtained.

Note- This course will be considered for fulfilment of the requirements as laid down

          by UGC for CAS.

          This course is equivalent to one Short Term Course (STC)
